Learn with fun
All activities take place in the school or in the extensive school parkland; the children are split into groups according to their age. Each week activities will be focused on a different topic and will be tailored to suit different ages and differing ability levels. The topics will be taught through practical fun activities for example producing pieces of art work, learning songs, circle games, quizzes and competitions. The children will also have the opportunity to participate in Sport and team games as well as water play. In case of bad weather, children will watch a film in English.
For the younger students, the activities will be presented with a multi-sensory approach with the emphasis on general language acquisition and cognitive development through fun activities.
For the older students, the activities will be presented again in a fun and stimulating way but with the emphasis on improving grammar, reading, listening and speaking through group and pair work, games, music, role-play, art and using interactive white boards as an important and motivating medium.
A homework session will be included each morning for the completion of summer homework with the aid of the class teacher.
Individual English lessons are also available during the morning session.
